@CaliforniaTravelTips yeah my teacher told us about that
when i was in forth grade
Yes, it’s a great experience for kids. It actually sails occasionally. Would love to see that!
me and my bros had a field trip here when we were in forth grade and we coiled rope raised a sail and lifted a 160 pound barrel. we toured the ship too it was fun this reminded me of it
Hope you enjoy it! It’s a very cool ship. Be sure to visit on the weekend, as it’s only open to schools during the week. Have fun!
So, this is the Pilgrim! I am reading Dana’s Two Years Before the Mast and seeing the actual ship ( well a reproduction) is a treat. I must get down to Dana Point and walk aboard!
I agree! Thanks so much for commenting on the video. Take care, Veronica
I really hope more kids can experience what I did, that was definitely a wonderful experience. Kids these days need more cool field trips like this one!
You’re probably right! The ship has been here for a while. I think they have a really great program here for students. Hoping my kids can do it one day!
Wow, I took a trip on a boat (I think it was this boat) when I was in 5th grade! Awesome memory. I remember my bed :3
I’m pretty sure it was that exact ship!
