The desert town of Indio learned a painful lesson from its now-retired city manager. I was never particularly good at math, but as I looked through the contract of former Indio City Manager Glenn Southard, I knew his $300,000-plus salary was not the best part of his deal.

What is a CHEAP way to travel the east coast?

In the transition from Washington DC to New York (spending 7 days in New York City) and then go from NYC to Boston. Any suggestions on cheap travel? I have previously looked at Amtrak and Boltbus. Thanks
