Los Angeles Farmers Market

California travel expert Veronica Hill of www.CaliforniaTravelExpert.com visits the Los Angeles Farmers Market on 3rd and Fairfax in this episode of “California Travel Tips.” This quick video highlights some of the best restaurants in the LA Farmers Market with suggestions on what to order. The Farmers Market in LA is also home to several produce stands and juice bars. A few of the best restaurants are The Gumbo Pot, Mr. Marcel, Bennett’s Ice Cream, Magee’s Kitchen, Pampas Grill, and DuPar’s restaurant. While you’re here, be sure to visit the Farmers Market office to get free tickets to CBS studios, located across the street. The Farmers Market is also next door to The Grove shopping center. Thanks! There’s nothing better than fresh, seasonal produce. I always stock up on home-grown tomatoes, which I love to place on toasted bagels with cream cheese and white pepper. Heaven! :) Veronica

Oh, brunch sounds good right about now! As for filming, they didn’t give a reason, but I’m thinking too much space. The place was packed (as always). Ah well. Looking forward to more of your vids!

Wonderful brunch! So they allowed you to film handheld, but no tripod? Was it because it took up too much space or because you had to get permission?

Ah yes! Du-Par’s restaurant! They’ve been there since 1938 and are famous for their buttermilk pancakes and French toast. They still have their blue plate special every morning from 6 until 11 a.m. Thanks for commenting! Veronica

Very cool! I never ate at the Marmalade Cafe. What’s good to order there? Thanks so much for commenting! Wish we could have used the tripod, but security didn’t allow it. :(

Great video Veronica! Thank you! I didn’t see that you mentioned the restaurant on the corner. I’ve eaten their famous breakfast. Maybe they are gone now. :( I hope not. I really need to make my way back to this Farmer’s Market again soon! This is a good reminder of what I am missing. :)

Yay! Thanks for featuring this. I’ve been to the Farmer’s Market a billion times, but I have yet to explore all the restaurants. I’ll get a beignet next time I’m there. =D
