Gourmet Hour at Millesime , Solaris Dutamas Kuala Lumpur

If you like your fine wines, and having a place to go for some high-brow happy hour, Millesime is the place to be.

Every Monday to Fridays, Millesime hosts a Gourmet Hour, which is essentially their version of happy hour, and it starts around the time one kicks off work, between the time of 5.30pm to 7.30pm. If you’re the sort that does not take to pub peanuts nor cheap finger food too well, then you will be right at home at Millesime’s Gourmet hour – only the best, ingredients and best gourmet snacks will be served, free-flow, between the appointed time.

Movie Review – The Avengers

Director Joss Whedon pulls off an amazing feat in finding the right chemistry and balance in the ring of clamouring superheros, villains and will thrill the audience off theirs seats!

The Plot: Threatened with war and an impending alien invasion by the evil Loki (Tom Hiddleston) – the bad guy from Thor - Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D, brings together a collection of superheroes to save Earth from total annihilation, and its population from ultimate enslavement. Drawn somewhat reluctantly into the team are World War 2 super-soldier Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), demi-god Thor (Chris Hemsworth), genius billionaire Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), brilliant scientist Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and master assassins Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Cue whip-smart banter, initial feuds, slowly building respect, uneasy friendships, forged allegiances, and lots of action.

Of Uncles, Aunties and Hotties

Today’s Travel Tip is on Barcelona, and comes from my buddy Sue, who is Malaysian but has lived in Barcelona for the longest time. Practically a local, she writes on the best time of year in Barcelona, spring that turns into summer..

Bikini season beckons in Barcelona, Spain. Well…Barceloneta actually, which is just a stone’s throw away from the shimmering emerald Mediterranean sea. Spring is but a corner away, so uncles, aunties and hotties are gearing up to look swell in summer.

Malay Rice at D’Anis Putri/ Rozita Catering

Recently, both me and Cumi have been totally smitten with the Malay Rice at D’Anis Putri/ Rozita Catering. Known simply as Anis Putri Corner, this comfortable, spacious and almost always packed to the rafters restaurant is situated somewhere in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur (not too far from Gasing Indah and the Pantai Baru Highway).
